The Gambia Football Federation GFF has said it will not bulge and remain
resolute in rejection of its suspension by the National Sports Council, NSC.
The NSC has written to the Football House suspending the executive committee
pending an investigation into the affairs of the Federation. The NSC has already
put up an investigation panel for the probe but Football House which maintains that
the action is illegal, said it will not recognise the move and will not cooperate with
the investigations neither will it abide by its instructions.

SUSPENSION OF GFF PRESIDENT MR LAMIN KABA BAJO AND CO
The National Sports Council wishes to inform the GFF Members, Partners and the General Public that, following the allegations of financial fraud, GFF constitutional violations on the Regional Football Associations Elective Congresses, Match Fixing Allegations, refusal by the GFF President to cooperate with the investigation team established by the National Sports Council and to disregard the directives of the Council to suspend the second division match until the outcome of the investigations, the Council, acting in accordance with section 18 (1) (C) (D) of the National Sports Council Act 2000, and in line with the laws of the Gambia has suspended the following officials of the Gambia Football Federation with immediate effect, GFF President Mr Lamin Kaba Bajo, First Vice President Mr Abdoulie Jallow, Second Vice President Mr Ebou Faye , Third Vice President Mr Martin Gomez and GFF Co-opted Executive Member and Project Manager of the NTTC Project Mr Bakary K Jammeh.
The suspension is to enable the investigation team to do the investigation without interference from the suspended GFF officials.
The Council wishes to inform the GFF Members, Partners and the General Public that until the investigation into the allegations are completed, the GFF President Mr Lamin Kaba Bajo’s functions and duties as President of the GFF are suspended.
The National Sports Council under the Ministry of Youth and Sports further wishes to express its appreciation for the massive support and encouragement received from the GFF Members, Partners and the General Public.
The Council further wish to assure that the National Sports Council is very committed to developing sports in the Gambia and greatly appreciates the support being received from the new government.
