The Premier League is back and will start with a typical game, which will see Arsenal host Leicester at the Emirates. Friday is not the most anticipated Premier League day, but yes, it does happen sometimes and this year, it actually marks the beginning of the 2017/18 season. The game kicks-off at 7:45 pm.
Arsenal will probably be without some of their key players due to injury. Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Per Mertesacker, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Gabriel, Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla. While Laurent Koscielny will miss the game due to suspension. New signing Alexandre Lacazette will have all the eyes on him as fans as well as critics will be looking to see if he is worth the money and praise he has gotten from his new club.
As for Leicester, one of the main absences will be Vincente Iborra, who would have to prolong the wait for his debut. He sustained a groin injury during training and is still not sure for how long he will be out. But what makes the injury more difficult is that Danny Drinkwater too is absent due to injury.
New signings, Kelechi Iheanacho and Harry Maguire will be available to start for Shakespeare’s side as they hope to prove just how valuable they are.
In general, Arsenal will have the upper hand because they play at home. But Leicester will be looking to take advantage of the fact that the gunners are missing some key players and try to emulate their 2015/16 campaign. Either ways, the game promises to be an entertaining one.
